    • Here are reasons why someone might choose a 2019 Mazda CX-3 Sport (and things you should watch out for). Whether it makes sense for you depends on your priorities (space vs handling vs cost vs features etc.) but this will help you weigh the trade-offs. What makes the 2019 CX-3 Sport a good choice Great driving dynamics / sporty feel Even though its a subcompact crossover Mazdas CX-3 is often praised for how fun to drive it is. The steering is sharp it handles corners well and it feels more composed than many rivals in its class. MotorTrend +2 Edmunds +2 Stylish design & upscale interior touches The exterior has a sleek look; Mazda applied small styling refinements in 2019 (grille taillights etc.) to freshen it up. Inside the materials and layout are nicer than many baseline subcompact SUVs. Even the cloth seats trim general cabin feel are above basic. MotorTrend +2 CarMax +2 Good fuel economy The CX-3 Sport with front-wheel drive gets strong MPG ratings for its class. If you mostly drive in city/highway mix its efficient. Even AWD versions dont drop too much. MotorTrend +2 Mazda +2 Safety & driver assist features Mazda made more safety tech standard or more available by 2019. Things like blind-spot monitoring rear-cross traffic alert forward collision systems. U.S. News Cars +3 Mazda USA +3 MotorTrend +3 Small-size advantages If you do a lot of city driving parking in tight spots narrow garages etc. the compact size of the CX-3 is an asset. Also smaller size usually means lower upkeep (tires etc.) depending on driving. Its easier to maneuver. CarMax +1 Decent value used Since the CX-3 isnt a large SUV they depreciate more but that means you can find a good deal on used ones. If its been maintained you can get many of the advantages of Mazdas build and feel at a lower cost than something newer or bigger.

Drives great. AWD has gotten me through some rough areas and is a smooth ride. Some road noise and minimal console space.

I really really love this little AWD SUV, I have only had 4 months now, but so far so good. In our town we live about 45 minutes from any Mazda dealer so their is not a lot of them around. That being said everyone that has looked at it says they want one, I have given 2 of them joyrides and they also have fallen in love. I have the 2018 Grand Touring model with the 3 color leather interior, retro dash and navy metallic exterior. For a 4cyl. it is quick and a smooth ride, yes not a lot of room in the back a tall person would not fit. The little cargo area is suitable for 12 bag grocery day and seats fold down for anything a bit larger. Sunroof, heated seats, beeps if you go 10 miles over speed limit (has come in very handy, haha) Bose speakers (son is jealous). Does not have power seats but big whoop, has a little thing that pops up in front of you and tells you how fast you are going and what the speed limit is. Nice navigation system. Great on gas mileage, went out of town on highway to and from about 3 hour drive and only used quarter of a tank. When close to empty only takes 20.00 to fill. I went from a Toyota Tacoma and really was having a hard time giving that up to my husband, but once I took this for a test drive I wanted it and sorry my little red Tacoma haven't had any regrets. Our kids are grown and it is primarily just my car, not a family car unless you have little ones who would comfortably fit in the back all day. Not good if you have a large dog either I think it would be uncomfortable. But I love it.

Very impressed with my time owning a CX-3 Touring in Black. Enough acceleration and agility to run through the city of Chicago and comfortable enough to cruise around for highway drive. Though classified as a CUV it drives like a hatch and keeps to the fun Zoom zoom factor. Interior reminds me of European luxury without throwing down the big bucks or sacrificing on maintenance costs/reliability. Good enough cargo size for me and my fiancé and eventually when we settle down to have a little one and a dog. Does well in wet terrain, and have heard it can go thru 8 feet of snow (a couple of reviews on YouTube, but yet to test it out). If you want AWD, engaging handling, Japanese quality, and don’t want to drive around a boat, this should fit the bill for you.
